Oh hey! Look at that!
Thats yarn that is!
And oh... guess who made it?!
That'd be me, that would!
Let me introduce you to Spinderella, my loverly gorgeous new spindle! The amazingly awesome Helen (enter her competition, its awesome and the soap is just lush) taught me to spin yesterday :D She gave me Spinderella, and some 100% Bluefaced Leicester Wool Sliver, and showed me what to do. She'd just awesome. We sat on the grass under the big tree outside the Crystal Palace and I made yarn!
I MADE YARN!
So its a little bumpy, but I don't care. I made yarn! And we're going to dye it purple with Kool-Aid, and then I'm going to knit something. I'm going to knit myself an iPhone cozy and then see what else I can make. A hat! I don't wear hats. I should start wearing hats!
Big thanks to Helen! Mwah you are truly awesome <3
The socks have been coming along nicely too. I finished pair #6:
The pattern is Basket Check from the Little Box of Socks. The yarn is Violet Green Socrates March Sock Club in colourway Beanstalk. Needle size 2.5mm.
I tried a toe-up baby sock. Epic fail. Holes everywhere. I frogged the sock. Pair #7 is making use of the scrummy Koigu that my gorgeous OH bought me in New York from Purl Soho. Scrummy OH and gorgeous yarn.
I know the most fantastic people. Thanks for being in my life guys!
